Our beloved son, brother and father, Zachary Lee Eytcheson, went to be with his Lord and Father at 9:40 p.m., Sunday, January 6th, 2013. He was headed back to Technical School in Beloit, Kansas at the time of the motor vehicle accident. Zachary was born in Independence, Kansas on October 16, 1980 to Harold Dean Eytcheson and Vickey Thornhill Eytcheson. He attended school here in Independence and received his GED from Paola High School. His brothers, Shelby and Jacob Eytcheson, and his halfbrother Lee Allen Eytcheson, as well as his extended family of Jarod Bayless, Angie High Hall and Matt Wulfekuhle, will all miss the time they spent and the numerous phone conversations they had when Zach was homesick for Independence. Zach was the poster child for the term HomeBoy: He lived for his visits home. Zachary has a daughter Kaylan Eytcheson with Stacy Whittley, a son Ayden Sinclair with Melisa Mills and a son Zachary Dal Eytcheson. He started out his life working for his Dad in the family construction company and later had many outdoor jobs. His lifes passion was his family and friends. At the time of his death he was working for Zoltenko Farms where Jim, Sherryl and their son Cole had taken him into their hearts and home. He was so proud to be a part of their family. He had just completed his first semester in school and was on his way to start the next semester. Zachary loved to fish and spend time with his children. His uncle Leonard was one of his best friends. He loved Sandy and Randy King for the role they took in his life after his father passed. The Eytcheson family closed ranks around their own and he loved them so. He will be missed by so many aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as his grandmothers and grandfather. His friends were a part of his family both then and now. He was goodhearted, wellliked by all and will be missed by friends and family alike. Zachary was preceded in death by his father, Harold Dean Eytcheson his grandfather, Harold Lee Eytcheson and his GreatGrandma Mary Ruth McCardie. Grandma went to heaven last week and must have needed her big boy there with her in Heaven. He is survived by his mom, Vickey Thornhill and the love of her life, Jack Bayless of Independence, Kansas his brothers, Harold Shelby Eytcheson of Independence, Kasnsas, Jacob Levi Eytcheson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Lee Allen Eytcheson of Independence, Kansas His children, daughter Kaylan Eytcheson and sons Zachary Eytcheson and Ayden Sinclair all of Independence, Kansas His grandmothers, Mary Ethel Thornhill and Betty Eytcheson, both of Independence, Kansas and His grandfather, Shelby Thornhill and his wife Judy of Sylvia, MO. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 11, 2013 at Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas with Reverend Harold Knight officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013 and from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Potts Chapel in Independence. Burial will follow at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas under the care of Potts Chapel of Independence.
