Wilma Perkins

Wilma L. Perkins, 82, of Caney, Kansas passed away Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel of Caney with Celebration of Life Services will be held at a later date. Wilma Lou Perkins was born January 2, 1929 at Independence, Kansas the daughter of Franklin Lorenzo Potter and Wanda Lee Walker Potter. She grew up in Caney and graduated from Caney High School . She lived in Caney her entire life and was a homemaker and a member of the Caney United Methodist Church. On March 23, 1947 at Caney, Kansas she was united in marriage to Ralph K. Perkins and he survives at the home. Survivors include her husband Ralph K. Perkins, two sons, David Lee Perkins and wife Sherry, of Kernersville, North Carolina, Donald Lynn Perkins and wife Sherry, of Caney, Kansas, one daughter, Deborah Lou Sharpe and husband Bill, of Coffeyville, Kansas, eleven grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brothers, George, Francis and Bud Potter, and a grandson, Chance Perkins
