Willias Willie V. Dodson, age 82, of Independence, Kansas died Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at her home in Independence, Kansas.

Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.

Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.

Willie Dodson was born May 4, 1932 in Elk City, Kansas to George M. and Cleo Jones Parks. She grew up in Elk City, Kansas and attended the Elk City School System. Willie worked at KMart for many years, and was an avid bowler that bowled all over the area.

Survivors include one son Bruce Dodson of Coffeyville, Kansas one daughter Christine Haynor of Independence, Kansas and by loving grandkids and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister Carol J. Foster.
