William “Tiny” Henry Edwards of Independence, Kansas went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Tiny was born on July 25, 1945 in Independence, Kansas to Preston L. and Mary Marie (Turner) Edwards. Tiny worked at Union Gas, Matcor, Kansas Box Factory and the school district. He married Lura Conley and welcomed 2 children and they later divorced and then married Carol Ford and with this union they welcomed 5 children, and they also later divorced. Tiny loved the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman and hunter. At one time he had caught the largest bass out of Elk City Lake. Most of all Tiny loved his family. He loved spending time with all his family sharing stories. He will be remembered as a caring and loving father, uncle, brother and friend.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
His memory will carry on with his children, son, William and wife Jessica Edwards, Anthony “Tony” Edwards, LeOtis Carter, Tracy Edwards, daughters, Connie and husband Andre Harris, Suzette and Dan Trotter, Stacy and husband Mikkel Parker, Tonette and husband Tyson Zimmerman, brothers, Preston Edwards Jr, and Roger Bailey, ex-wives, Lura Conley, and Carol Ford Edwards, and life partner, Tracy Barr, 32 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Potts Chapel, 122 S. Penn Ave. Independence, KS on Saturday, July 25th at 10:00 am with interment immediately following at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
