William Michael

William Ward Michael William Ward Michael, 85 of Havana, Kansas passed away August 12, 2009 at Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was born August 8, 1924 in Caney, Kansas; the son of Ashley and Julia Hofmaister Michael. He was a farmerstockman in the Havana area. He graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in Agriculture. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1952. Bill was a kind and generous man giving to various charities. He loved to travel and see new places. He is survived by one cousin; Alma Machisak of Canon City, Colorado. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at the Havana Cemetary, Havana, Kansas. Memorials may be given to the Salvation Army and may be left at the Potts Funeral Home, Caney, Kansas.
