William Lastater

William Gerald Lastater, 80, of Caney, Kansas passed away Saturday, October 4th, 2014 at the Guest Home Estates. He was born November 16, 1933 in Terrant County, Texas to William Harvey and Neva J. Duke Lastater.
William attended and graduated from the Neodesha High School. He attended Kansas State University on a Football Scholarship. He enlisted in the United States Air Force for four years. After his discharge he moved to Denver, Colorado and worked for Lockheed Martin as a plant worker.
He moved to Caney into the Guest Home Estates in August of 1013. William is survived by two brothers, Billy Mac Lastater of Orlando, Florida and Jack Duke Lastater of Independence, Kansas.
Cremation has taken place through Potts Chapel of Independence.
