Wesley Lee Weimer, 67, of Fayetteville, Arkansas died Wednesday, September 21, 2011. He was born October 6, 1943 in Garfield, Arkansas to Clarence E. Weimer and Anna M. Thornbrew. They later moved to Independence, Kansas where he attended school. Wes married Rose Etta Studebaker who still resides in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Wes spent 20 years in the United States Army serving our country. He was sent to Vietnam, Germany, and various other places while in the Army. He received numerous medals and letters of commendations from the military. Wes eventually left the military and continued his employment with the civil service where he served many years and many positions until he retired in 2004 due to his health condition. He is survived by his wife Rose Weimer of the home, 5 children, Jay Smith, Steven Smith, Charlene Smith, Clarence Weimer Snyder all of Independence, Kansas, and Tina Wiemer of Fayetteville, Arkansas., one brother Larry Weimer and one sister Jean Root both of Independence, Kansas, one brotherin law Ronald B. Studebaker of Fayetteville, Arkansas and two sisterinlaws Shirley Weimer and Adella Capwell both of Independence, Kansas. Wes was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Vera Wall. Cremation has taken place. Graveside Services will be held at Liberty Cemetery at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2011 under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Wesley was loved and will be missed by all who truly knew him.
