Virginia May Prosser, age 87, of Neodesha, Kansas died Sunday, February 19, 2012 at the Wilson Medical Center in Neodesha, Kansas. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2012 at the Bible Baptist Church with the Pastor Harold Stacey officiating. Burial will follow in the Neodesha Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2012 at the Potts Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas and from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with the family receiving friends at the Bible Baptist Church in Neodesha, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Bible Baptist Church and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. Virginia was born October 6, 1924 in Altoona, Kansas to Lewis Vinton and Lola Marie Thompson Reynolds. Virginia attended schools in Altoona, Kansas. On October 5, 1946 Virginia married Wayne E. Prosser in Independence, Kansas. Virginia worked at the Parsons Ammunition Plant during World War II, she was a cook at Golden Keys Nursing Home, she worked at Electra in Independence, Kansas and ran the Burger Hut in Neodesha, Kansas. Virginia was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and worked in the nursery for 15 years. Survivors include her husband Wayne of the home one son DeWayne and wife Elaine Prosser of Neodesha, Kansas grandchildren Brent Kelly Johnson of China, Chad Suzannah Prosser of North Carolina and Jeremy Chrissy Prosser of Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents one son Gregory D. Prosser three brothers Joseph J. Reynolds, Charles C. Reynolds and William M. Reynolds and one sister Dorothy M. Reynolds Sexton.
