Virginia May Hugo, 72, of Cherryvale, Kansas entered into rest Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Mercy Hospital. A memorial Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, February 24, 2013 at 11:00 a. m. at the Cherryvale Logan Park Building with Lorne Stroble officiating under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Arthritis Foundation and contributions may be left at Potts Chapel in Cherryvale. Virginia was born July 24, 1940 in Chautauqua, Kansas the daughter of Ernest C. and Juanita McLaughlin Kelley. She grew up in the Chautauqua and Coffeyville, Kansas area and attended the Coffeyville school System. On April 3, 1964 Virginia was united in marriage to James Jim L. Hugo and the couple made their home in Cherryvale, Kansas. James Jim preceded her in death in 2012. Virginia worked for the Emerson Electric Company in the painting department as well as the receiving and shipping departments. She retired after 23 years. Survivors include two daughters, Regina Douglas and Janie Hals of Cherryvale, Ks. two sons, Randy Hugo and Rick Hugo of Cherryvale, Ks. three brothers, Jim Kelley of Edna, Ks., Charles Kelley of Sherman, Tx. and Lewis Kelley of Oklahoma City, Okla. one sister, Ruby Kelley of Cherryvale, Ks. thirteen grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by four brothers, Walter, Homer, Johnny, and Danny Kelley , and two grandchildren, Ashley White and Timmothy Douglas Jr.
