Virginia Lee Hoover

Virginia L. Hoover (Jen), age 85 of Elk City, Kansas, died Monday, April 15^th, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family.

Virginia L. Hoover was born June 6^th, 1938, in Independence, Kansas to Fred E. and Alta Maxine (Huff) Hull. She grew up here and graduated from IBS.

On May 27^th, 1957, she married Gary Hoover, and they made their home in Southern California. After raising their three children she got her Nursing Degree from the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California. After retiring, the couple moved back to Kansas.

Virginia is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Steve) Acuff, sons; Gary (Debbie) Hoover Jr., Aaron (Michelle) Hoover, many grandchildren and great grandchildren that she loved much, two sisters, Bobbie Husted and Terri (Keith) Rummell, and many nieces and nephews.

She was greatly loved by many and will be truly missed.

Special thank you’s to granddaughters Wendy Davidson and Tabitha Easley, daughter-in-law Michelle Hoover and daughter Brenda for all the loving help and care given to her.

Visitation will be held at Potts Funeral Chapel in Independence, Kansas April 18^th, 2024, from 5pm-7pm.

Graveside service will be April 19^th, 2024, at 10am in Oak Hill Cemetery, Elk City, Kansas with Brother Samuel Hamilton and Brother Todd Hamilton officiating.
