Virgil Baker

Virgil Lee Baker, age 54, of Caney, Kansas died Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Virgil was born July 6, 1956 in Denver, Colorado to Lee and Loretta Grantz Baker. Virgil grew up in Denver, Colorado. On May 5, 1973 Virgil entered the United States Army and served during the Korean War until his honorable discharge on May 10, 1982. Virgil lived in Arkansas City before moving to Caney, Kansas in 2002. Virgil was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivor include his father Lee of Apachie Junction, Arizona Mother Loretta of Wichita, Kansas four daughter Pamela of Colorado, Tammy of Joplin, Missouri, Barbara of El Dorado Springs, Missouri and Misty of Bolliver, Missouri one son Curtis of El Dorado Springs, Missouri 10 grandchildren
