Unabelle Berniece Testerman, 91, of Cherryvale, Kansas passed away Monday, April 1, 2019 at her home. Friends and family are welcome to sign the register on Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00am to 5:00 at Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 4th with the family welcoming friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral service will be held at Potts Chapel in Independence on Friday, April 5th at 10:00am with interment immediately following at Mound Valley Cemetery.
On September 13, 1927 in Sycamore, Kansas, Otis Harvey and Flossie Beatrice (Henderson) Bryant welcomed Unabelle Berniece Bryant. Unabelle graduated from Neodesha High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Testerman on March 1, 1949 in Bentonville, AR. Shortly after, the two made their home in rural Cherryvale, Kansas. Through the years, the two welcomed 2 children, Robert and Beatrice. Unabelle loved to spend her time watching the Kansas City Chiefs, and Royals, frequent the local casinos, sewing, fishing in nearby ponds, cooking and spending time with her family. Unabelle especially adored the time she got to spend with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Unabelle is preceded in death by her parents, Otis Harvey and Flossie Beatrice Bryant, husband, Robert Testerman, granddaughter, Melinda Testerman, brothers, Lawrence Bryant, Paul Bryant, and Donald Bryant, sisters, Mabel Sprague, Hazel Chaffin, Lena Vaughn, Helen Corn, and Dot Potter.
Those left to cherish her memory include son, Robert Testerman, daughter, Beatrice Bohr, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. To leave the family a special message of condolence please visit www.pottsfuneralhome.com.
