Twila Sprague

Twila Irene Sprague, age 95, passed away on Saturday, January 07, 2012 at Mercy Hospital, Independence, Kansas. She was born October 24, 1916 in Bolton, Kansas, the daughter of the late John W. and Mabel E. Miller Patterson. On March 3, 1939 she was united in marriage to Howard R. Sprague in Coffeyville, Kansas. He preceded her in death in 1995 after 56 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by one brother and two granddaughters Charity and Misty Sprague. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by: One son Ernest E. Sprague and his wife Sherry of Sparta, Mo two daughters Ada Pearl Hoyt and her husband Dean of Elk City, Kansas and Joyce E. Scott and husband, Carl of Independence, Kansas two grandsons Dr. Cameron Scott and his wife Kerri of Loma Linda, Mo and Rustin Scott and his wife Jessica of Independence, Kansas two granddaughters Sunny Sprague of Sparta, Mo and Melody Paramata and her husband Timothy of Centerton, Ar Seven Great Grandchildren Tara, Andrea, Leah Trent Scott of Loma Linda, Mo Zachary Paramata of Centerton, Ar Qorban and Enoch Scott of Independence, Ks. Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas with Pastor Rictor officiating under the direction of Potts Chapel in Independence, Ks. The family has suggested memorials to the First Assembly of God Church and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.
