Travis Jones

Travis L. Jones, 50, of Caney passed away Wednesday November 6, 2013 at his home.
Cremation has taken place and a Private Family Gathering will be held at a later date.

Travis was born June 14, 1963 in Fredonia, Kansas the son of Reverend Irvin and Doris Carr Jones. He grew up in Canute, Oklahoma and Caney, Kansas attending and graduating from the Canute, Oklahoma school system.

On February 19, 2011 Travis was united in Marriage to Michelle Morris and the couple made their home in Caney, Kansas and she survives at the home.

Travis worked in the Set Up department at the Spears Manufacturing Company in Caney, Kansas for 29 years. Travis was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was one of the founders of the Little Boat and Big Bass fishing tournament origination.

Survivors include his mother Doris Jones of Caney, Ks., his wife Michelle of Caney, Ks., one son Shannon Bass of Independence, Mo., two daughters Trena Xanders of Adrian, Mo., and Haley Bass of Raytown, Mo., two brothers Lance Jones of Bessie, Okla., Ernie Jones of Caney, Ks., three sisters Sherry Luttmer of Canute, Okla., Robbin Webber of Caney, Ks., Starla Lloyd of Caney, Ks., two grandsons and two granddaughters.
