It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tracy Allen Srader on June 5, 2026, at the age of 59. Born on December 11, 1966, in Neodesha, Kansas, Tracy brought joy, laughter, and a spirit of adventure to all who knew him. He resided in Independence, Kansas, where he lived a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Tracy was a proud graduate of Independence High School and dedicated much of his working life to the Wilson County Hospital, where he served as a custodian and floor specialist. His diligence and commitment to his work spoke to his character, and he approached every task with sincerity and determination.
Outside of work, Tracy’s passion for life was evident in the activities he cherished. He often spent weekends with his son, son-in-law, and friends, collecting scrap metal, a pastime that brought him much joy. He had a fondness for the exciting ambiance of casinos, where many evenings were spent with his beloved mother, Betty and his girlfriend, Millie.
Tracy also had a deep appreciation for nature and adventure. He enjoyed fishing trips with his father, Eldon, children, and grandchildren, creating lasting memories with each expedition to local lakes. The outdoors was a source of joy for him, whether it was hunting with his brother Rick or camping during the summer months with family. Tracy loved sharing moments at family cookouts and fish fries, whether it be sharing a beer with his sisters, Tammy and Cindy or just relaxing under the sky, treasures of his life that will be eternally remembered by all who gathered around him.
He is remembered fondly by his mother, Betty Srader (Sloniker); sisters Tammy Robertson and Cindy Ramey; his brother-in-law Brain Robertson; his daughters, Cheyenne Srader (Jr Neese), Dixie Srader (Landon Lagal), and Tracey Srader (Tristan Baker); son Eldon Srader (Sandra); and his seven grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable happiness.
Tracy is preceded in death by his father, Eldon Srader, and his brother, Richard Srader.
A memorial service will be held on June 12, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Potts Chapel, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and share memories of a man who left a lasting impact on everyone he met. In this time of sorrow, let us remember Tracy for the love he shared, the laughter he brought, and the memories that will forever dwell in our hearts. Tracy will be profoundly missed but never forgotten; his spirit will live on in the stories we tell and the memories we cherish.
Memorial donations can be made to the family of Tracy Allen Srader.
