Timothy Lynn Ward Sr.

March 3, 1970 — May 5, 2026

Coffeyville, Kansas

Timothy Lynn Ward Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, son, and friend, passed away on May 5, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on March 3, 1970, in Independence, Kansas, Timothy's adventurous spirit and love for family shaped his life in profound ways.

Growing up, Timothy and his family traveled frequently, never staying in one place for more than a month. This nomadic lifestyle allowed him to embrace various communities, attending schools in Independence, Neodesha, Fredonia, California, and even Arizona. These experiences ignited a lifelong love for exploration that he shared with his children.

Timothy was a proud father to eight children—seven boys and one girl—instilling in them the values of resilience, curiosity, and compassion. His children were the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them. He cultivated a deep sense of faith in his children and saw to it that they attended church regularly. Timothy had a passion for fishing and loved to tinker with various projects, skills he often passed down to his children.

Timothy's journey through life has been characterized by his unwavering spirit and dedication to family. He is survived by his sons, Tim L. ( Michelle) Ward Jr., Devin (Shara) Fritz, Dakota (Kendra) Ward, Guillermo (Crystal) Ward, Matt (Cathleen) Romero, Josh (Julie) Romero, Tim (Kayla) Vivona, and daughter Casey Vivona, whom will carry on his legacy and keep the memories of their time together alive. His brothers, David (Loretta) Clines and Donald Tosh, Sister, Tina (Clinton) Hansen, and grandchildren, Beau Ward, Nova Ward, Juliana Fritz, Sawyer Fritz, Paitlynn Buruss, Isaiah Romero, Isaac Romero, McKenzie Romero, Randy Romero, Ezequial Romero, Calliope Romero, Cadence Romero, Milaina Romero, Ross Romero, Joanna Romero, Josiah Romero, A'dream Romero and Amelia Rose Vivona.

A graveside service will be held in his honor at Mount Hope Cemetery on May 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather as they celebrate Timothy’s life and the indelible mark he left on all who knew him. He will be laid to rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and an unbreakable bond with those he cherished.

Timothy Lynn Ward Sr. will be profoundly missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire and guide his family and friends. May he rest in peace. Timothy was preceded in death by his parents, Eliso Lee Rodriquez and Sharon Louise Ward (Merrick).
