Therese A. Gidney, 63, of Coffeyville, Ks passed away Friday April 15, 2016 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Ks. Her daughters were by her side when she drifted off to be with the Lord. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, April 21 2016 at 2:00 pm. Father Chad Arnold of Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville, Ks will lead the service. Friends and Family are welcome to attend. A visitation will take place on Wednesday April 20, 2016 8:00am to 8:00pm with family receiving friends 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Potts Chapel in Independence, Ks.

She was born to Joseph and Verna (Sandback) Loar of Leavenworth, Ks. on January 23, 1953 in San Diego, California. She attended Leavenworth High School and graduated in 1971. She attended college and earned her Associates Degree.

Therese A. Loar was united in marriage to Michael G. Gidney on August 21, 1971 and later divorced.

Therese made her home in the Southeast Ks area for a total of Thirty-Seven Years. She worked in Real Estate for 25 years and earned her place in the Million Dollar Club and was in the top 10 Realtors. Her love of working with children; lead her to a part time Teacher Aide position at Washington Elementary. She also tutored from her home. Therese had a passion for Poetry, Crafting, Baking, Fishing, Listening to Music and most of all spending time with her loving family.

Therese A. Gidney is survived by two daughters; Audrey Thompson and husband, Jeffrey Thompson of Cherryvale, Ks. Erica L. Schlegel and husband, Rodney M. Schlegel II of Neodesha, Ks., her beloved boyfriend, Jim Wishall of Coffeyville, Ks., six grandchildren and one great grandchild; Brittany Thompson, Tiffany Thompson, Emerey Thompson, Ryley Thompson and Adilynn James of Cherryvale, Ks. Eian Eytcheson and Elliot Schlegel of Neodesha, Ks.

Therese is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Verna Loar and one brother, Joseph Loar II.

Memorials can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in her name and can also be left with Potts Chapel of Independence, Ks. Online condolences can be left at www.pottsfuneralhome.com
