Theodore "Kyle" Welch, 86 of Independence, Kansas, joined the Lord on Saturday, October 20,2018.
Kyle was born June 19, 1932 in Montgomery County Kansas to Charles Curtis and Veta Marie Welch (Stong). Kyle was living in Lakin, Kansas when he shipped out with the U.S. Army. He served his country during the Korean War.
Following discharge, he married Betty "Maxine" Eubanks and made their home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Kyle worked several years for Reda Pump before relocating back to Elk City, Kansas. The couple was blessed with five daughters.
Kyle is survived by daughters, Mary (Robert) Dye of Bartlesville, OK; Kylia (Danny) Heape, Robin Long, Bonnie (David) Vannoster all of Independence, Ks. He is also survived by, his brother Jerry Welch of Elk City, Kansas, and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is proceeded in death by his parents Charles and Veta Welch, his wife Maxine Welch, his daughter Kay Davis, his grandson and his great granddaughter.
Kyle had a great love for God and his family. His humor, knowledge, and wonderful stories will be missed greatly. For many, he will be remembered for his auto mechanic skills and willingness to help fix your car even if it was not a Ford.
Funeral services will be Monday October 29, 2018 at 10:00 am at Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas with graveside following at Jefferson Cemetery. Memorials can be left in Kyle's name to Grace Hospice, and may be left at the chapel. Online condolences may be left by visiting, www.pottsfuneralhome.com.
