Tammy Patchett

Tammy R. Patchett, 57, Independence, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2016 at Wilson County Hospital. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel a Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 27, 2016 at New Life Baptist in Independence. Memorial may be made to AWOL and may be left with the chapel.

Tammy was born March 4, 1959 in Independence, Kansas to Albert W. and Helen (Brummer) Austin. Tammy attended and graduated from Independence, Kansas schools. Tammy married Donald R. Patchett on November 1978at The First Christian Church in Independence, Kansas

Tammy was employed by the Independence Daily Reporter for over 13 years as a contractor for paper deliver. Tammy is a seven year plus member of the New Hope Church in Independence, Tammy enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Margaret Austin. Survivors include her husband Donald of the home, three sons, Luke ( Lisa) Patchett, Jefferson City, MO; Adam Patchett, Seattle, WA; James Patchett, Independence, KS; one daughter, Crystal ( Christopher) Ellis, Independence, KS; three brothers, William ( Cindy) Austin, Independence, KS; Albert Austin, Tulsa, OK; James Austin, Independence, KS; three sisters, Sharon Austin, Independence, KS; Laura ( Tom) Bryant, Independence, KS; Candy (Lester) Stamps, Independence, KS; and twelve grandchildren.
