Staci Lynn Clubine, 57, of Independence passed on April 1st at home surrounded by her loving family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, April 6, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, April 5th, at Potts Chapel 1:00-7:00pm, with family greeting friends 5:00-7:00pm. Memorials are suggested to the Staci Clubine Scholarship Fund. These funds will provide scholarships for CNA and nursing certificates and can be sent to the funeral home, 122 South Penn Ave., Independence, KS 67301.
Staci was born to Jim Pollock and Mary Ann Pedigo Pollock on December 4, 1960 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Staci and her two sisters were raised in Independence, where Staci graduated from independence high school in 1979 where she enjoyed her time as head cheerleader and was a part of the state championship girls golf team. She served as a Neelah Deb and later went on to be crowned Queen Neelah 1978. Upon graduation, Staci went on to become a Registered Nurse.
Staci was united in marriage to Jim Clubine on March 10, 1990. They made their home in Independence, Kansas. They recently celebrated their 27th anniversary. They have one son, Bryan Clubine. She had three fur babies, Zeek, Sassy, and Casey.
Staci came into this world knitting and being a caregiver. She later went on to co-own various nursing homes throughout Independence with her mother. She treated her residents and employees as though they family. She later taught CNA classes at ICC. She inspired and aided many people to follow in her foot steps to pursue a career in nursing.
Staci loved tending to her chickens and rabbits, riding her horse, and working in her garden. She enjoyed being outside and spending time on the farm. She had many fond memories of spending time at Grand Lake and traveling with family and friends to various places.
Staci is survived by her beloved husband Jim Clubine and her son Bryan Clubine and his wife Emily. Other survivors include Staci's mother, Mary Ann Pollock and father, Jim Pollock of Independence and Ian Palmer, step-father of Albuquerque. Her sisters Kim McGrath of Independence and Lisa Fox of Dallas, TX., and numerous family members, nieces and nephews.
