Scott A. Fromong, age 23, of Phoenix, Arizona formerly of Independence, Kansas died June 9, 2010 in Phoenix, Arizona. Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas with the Reverend Benjamin Shockey of the St. Andrews Catholic Church officiating. Reciting of the Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas with the family receiving friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family has suggested memorials to FORPAZ and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Scott was born February 4, 1987 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Donald Fromong II and Renee Bright Johnson. He grew up in Coffeyville and Independence and received his high school diploma in 2004. He attended Coffeyville Community College and completed the Collision Repair Technology Program. He was employed as a painter for Cessna Aircraft in Independence, Kansas. Following his dreams, he was attending Motorcycle Mechanics Institute MMI in Phoenix, Arizona at the time of his death. He enjoyed fishing, paint ball, motorcycles, video games, movies and spending time with family and friends. Survivors include his mother Renee Johnson and husband Curt of Copan, Oklahoma father Donald Fromong II and wife Angela of Independence, Kansas half brother Jacob Fromong of Independence, Kansas Grandmother Philomena Fromong of Independence, Kansas Grandfather Kerry Bright of Independence, Kansas Great Grandparents Reed and Louise Eikenberry of Cherryvale, Kansas Aunt Reeda Bidleman and husband David of Coffeyville, Kansas and their children Priscilla and Kara Aunt Monica Beard and husband Ray of Coffeyville, Kansas and their children Megan Hoppenstedt and Kelsi Beard Aunt Tina Stewart of Independence, Kansas and her children Tyler and Kinsley Aunt Heather Welch and husband William of Virginia Beach, Virginia and their children Garrett and Hayley Uncle Chad Bright and wife Jennifer of Cherryvale, Kansas and their child Abigail Niece Kaydence Navarro of Copan, Oklahoma step brother Clifton Johnson and step sister Jennifer Schulz both of Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
