Ruth Hancock

Ruth Ann Dreisbach Hancock, age 68, of Neodesha, Kansas died Thursday, January 5, 2012 at her home in Neodesha, Kansas. Celebration of Life Viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 7, 2012 at the Christ Church in Neodesha, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. Cremation will follow and private family inurnment will be held at a later date. The family has suggested memorials to the Harry Hynes Hospice and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Neodesha, Kansas. Ruth Ann Dreisbach Hancock was born November 11, 1943 in Taft, California to Robert F. and Miriam Katherine Hubbel Dreisbach. Ruth grew up in Cherryvale, Kansas and graduated from the Cherryvale High School in 1961. In 1974 Ruth married Roy R. Hancock Jr. and the couple later divorced. Ruth worked as a Dietary Cook in various nursing homes and hospitals in the area. Ruth in 1993 became common law wife of Montie R. Wallace. Montie preceded her in death in 2007. Ruth was a charter member of the Cherryvale FOE 2503, Neodesha FOE 3348 and the VFW ladies auxiliary 3018. Survivors include daughter Lori Hancock Clark husband Justin of Pittsburg, Kansas Son David Dreisbach wife Sherrie of Vallejo, California one brother Mark Dreisbach wife Sara of Thayer, Kansas Step Children Heath Sean Wallace both of Neodesha, Kansas and Heather Rada of Thayer, Kansas Grandchildren Jett Tucker, Joshua Clark, Kamryn, Zoey, Tony Dreisbach She was preceded in death by one brother Jon Dreisbach and one sister Nancy Hulstra.
