Rose Woods

Rose Marie Woods 83, of Cherryvale died Thursday April 7, 2011 at Mercy Hospital Independence. A Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, April 9, 2011 at the 1st. Southern Baptist Church, Cherryvale, Kansas with Pastor Ron Garrison of the 1st. Southern Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be at the Sherman Cemetery, Sherman, Kansas. A Memorial has been established to the 1st. Southern Baptist Church, Cherryvale and may be left with the Potts Chapel or the Church. Rose Marie was born November 7, 1927 in Rural McCune, Kansas the daughter of Everett and Bessie Copper Nutt. She attended the McCune School System from which she graduated. On March 17, 1950 she was united in marriage to Donald Woods in Rural McCune and he survives at the home. Rose Marie was a home maker and member of the 1st. Southern Baptist Church in Cherryvale. Survivors are her husband Donald of the home, three daughters Donna and Paul Standard of Van Buren, Ar., Mary Beth and Steve Robb of Pittsburg, Ks., Barbara and Eban Schachter of Kansas City, Mo., one sister Betty Smith of Rural Mc Cune, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
