Rosemary McDermed, 87, of Independence passed away Friday November 20, 2015 at her home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a. m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at the Grace Baptist Church, Neodesha, Kansas with the Pastor Jim Logan officiating. Burial will follow in the Ross Cemetery in Neodesha, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel Independence.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a. m. to 8:00 p. m. on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p. m. to 8:00 p. m. at the Potts Chapel.
The family has suggested memorials to the American Heart Association or the Grace Baptist Church Neodesha, Kansas and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel.
Rosemary was born March 28, 1928 in Neodesha, Kansas the daughter of Ted and Gertrude (Files) Davis. She grew up in Neodesha, and attended the Neodesha School System.
Rosemary Davis was united in marriage to Lowell Howell in May 1946 and they later divorced.
Later Rosemary married Kenneth Johnson in February 1965 Kenneth preceded her in death.
Rosemary then married Floyd McDermed and they later divorced.
Rosemary worked on the assembly line at the Electra Plant in Independence.
She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
Survivors include four daughters Carolyn Jump and husband Larry of Independence, Diana Mitchell of Neodesha, Kansas, Charlotte DeLong and husband Bob of Neodesha, Kansas Brenda Ladd and husband Stephen of Independence.
One son Brad Johnson and wife Lisa of Thayer, Kansas thirteen grandchildren and thirty six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
