Rosa Carter

Rosa Lee Carter, age 82, of Caney, Kansas died Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Family will greet friends at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Caney United Methodist Church in Caney, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Caney United Methodist Church and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. Rosa Lee Carter was born February 6, 1930 in Elgin, Kansas to Tom and Veva Mounts Carter. She grew up in rural Caney, Kansas and attended schools in the Cotton Valley school system. Rosa was a member of the Caney United Methodist Church. Survivors include two nephews Tom Vaughn of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Jerry Vaughn of Houston, Texas one neice Karen Dutro of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
