Ronnie Botts

Ronnie Dean Botts, 61, of rural Neodesha, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 7th 2018 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita Kansas.
Ronnie was born September 5th, 1957 the son of Hazel (Botts) Schafer and Cecil Botts. In 1979, he was united in marriage to Linda Olrog, they later divorce in 1993. Years later he married Viola Reno who has preceded him in death.
Ronnie made a 22 ½ year career in the U S Navy, retiring in May of 1993. He was a member of the American Legion of Independence KS, and the Eagles of Neodesha, KS.
Preceding Ronnie in death was his father, Cecil Botts, wife, Viola Botts, daughter, Victoria Botts, two sisters, Verna Edington, and Margo Rinkenburg. He is survived by his two sons, Ian Botts of New Jersey, Alex Botts of England, mother Hazel Schafer, four brothers, Sonnie Johnson, John Botts, Jimmie Botts, all of Neodesha, KS, and David Botts of Independence KS. Three sisters Sherry(Botts) Turner, Independence KS, Glenda(Schafer)Persinger Weslaco TX, and Linda Schafer Neodesha KS, numerous nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Potts Funeral Home of Independence Kansas. A private Family memorial and a public wake will take place at a later day. To leave a special message to the family visit www.pottsfuneralhome.com.
