Ronald D. Harder Sr. age 71, of Independence, Kansas died Friday, January 22, 2010 at the Regal Estates in Independence, Kansas. Graveside Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Friends may sign the register from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2010 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Regal Estates and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Ronald was born August 18, 1938 in Topeka, Kansas to Howard and Zelma Harder. On March 13, 1958 Ronald married Phyllis Jeanne Eustice in Topeka, Kansas. The couple moved to Independence, Kansas in 1959. Phyllis preceded him in death on April 9, 2009. Ronald served in the Army National Guard from 1958 to 1963. He worked in the Grocery Industry as Produce Manager. He loved to fish and hunt. Survivors include two sons Ronald Harder Jr. and wife Lynda of Ava, Missouri Tracy Harder and wife Tracy of Independence, Kansas one brother Robert Harder of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin one sister Delores Daniels of Lewisburg, Missouri 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
