Independence

Ron Bradley, 73, passed away at his home after a hard fought battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis on May 8, 2020.  Ron was born on October 13, 1946 in Coffeyville, Kansas, and was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Pat Bradley, and brother Randal Bradley. Ron married his true love, Sharon Sutton on May 13, 1965 and they were happily married for 55 years. He worked for MEC for 45 years before retiring in 2011.

He was a great man who worked hard, and played even harder. Through the years he had many toys: boats, dune buggies, dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, RZRs, race cars, motorcycles and more. If he wasn’t out driving something, he was building something in his shop. He and Sharon, would ride their motorcycle all over the country pulling a little camper behind them. When they weren’t riding the motorcycle, Ron was racing and Sharon was rooting for him in the stands. They had a lot of fun and made a lot of good friends. Ron never let grass grow under his feet. In the later years, after retirement, he and Sharon traveled in luxury in their RVs and enjoyed being snow birds in the south during winter.

Ron loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters Becky Bradley and Bonnie Warner (Doug); his grandsons/lights of his life, Jack and Aidan Warner; his sister, Rosalee Sutton; half-sister Deanie Robbins; half-brother Sam Bradley (Kelly); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A special thank you to Sam B., Gary M., Gary F., Shawn M., Marty S., Morris S., Mark S. and Larry W. for the many calls that brightened his last days when he was too sick to get out of the house.

Ron was a friend to all, and lived a simple, honest life. In true fashion, he requested no funeral or fuss, so we will honor his wishes. Ron will be very missed but not forgotten. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Animals With Our Love (A.W.O.L) in Independence, Kansas. To leave the family a special message of condolence, please visit www.pottsfuneralhome.com.
