Roger Wayne Eytcheson, age 61, of Independence, Kansas died Saturday, October 16, 2021 at the St. Francis Via Christi in Wichita, Kansas.
Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at the Potts Chapel with Matt Hunter and Joe Davolt officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel. Friends can sign the online register book at www.pottsfuneralhome.com.
The family has suggested memorials to the Shriner’s Crippled Children’s Fund and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel.
Roger was born February 26, 1960 in Independence, Kansas to Bill Joe and Lois Marie (Maxwell) Eytcheson. He grew up in Independence, Kansas and attended schools in Independence. Roger worked with the family in the Eytcheson Auto Repair for many years. He then was a delivery person with a Local Parts Store and also with Defeever-Osburn Drug Store. Roger also attended the Bible Holiness Church. He later was a bank courier and loved growing tomatoes, fixing things in his garage and keeping his vehicles’ immaculate.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Daniel R. Eytcheson. Survivors include two aunts Betty Barnes & family of Missouri and Joan Myers & family of California. Nephews Mike & Scott Eytcheson and numerous cousins.
