Roena Bunch

Roena E. Bunch, 101, of Independence died Tuesday at Mercy Hospital, Independence, Kansas.
A Graveside Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday August 11, 2014 at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence, Kansas with the Reverend Bryan Harris and Reverend Jason Avery officiating.
Burial will follow the Graveside Service under the direction of the Potts Chapel, Independence, Kansas.
Visitation will be held Sunday August 10, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.
Roena was born April 29, 1913 in Lafontaine, Kansas the daughter of Arthur G. and Iva H.A. Bennett Carr. She attended the Lafontaine School System and grew up in the Montgomery County area.
On July 30, 1931 Roena was united in marriage to Charles Garoutte and he preceded her in death in 1950. She later married Donald Bunch and he preceded her in death in 1971.
Roena was a home maker and enjoyed being a stay at home mom raising her children.
Survivors include four daughters Peggy Garoutte, Becky Baker, Betty Lemon, and Marie Wood all of Independence, Kansas. Seventeen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren as well as numerous great, great grandchildren.
