Rodney Biddle

Rodney B. Biddle, age 69, of Tulsa, Oklahoma died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Bethel Church in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma with the Reverend Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, January 29, 2009 at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Chetopa, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Caney, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the American Cancer Society and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel, 107 N. State Caney, Kansas 67333. Rodney was born April 15, 1940 in Independence, Kansas to Harry and Melba Meadows Biddle. He served in the United States Army from 1959 to 1962 during this time he spent two years in Nurnberg, Germany prior to his honorable discharge. After returning to Wichita, Kansas, he began night school at Wichita University and graduated from Oklahoma City University in 1978 with a BS Degree in Management. In 1963 He was employed by Cities Service Oil Company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and transferred to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1969. After 6 years in Tulsa he was transferred to Oklahoma City to manage property taxes for Cities Service Gas Company from 1975 to 1978. After returning to Tulsa in 1978 he continued to work for Cities Service Gas Company until leaving after 20 years of service to become property tax manager for Mapco Inc, in Tulsa, Oklahoma form 1983 to 1995. His last employment was with the Tulsa County Assessors Office from 1995 to 2006 where he retired as chief deputy. Survivors include his wife Karen Biddle of Tulsa, one son Erich Biddle of Tulsa, two daughters Jana Winn and husband Don of Tulsa, Brooke Biddle of Los Angeles, California: two grandchildren Emily Winn and Nathan Winn both of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was a loving and dedicated husband, father, and friend to many, who enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by all who he touched during his lifetime.
