Robert Trimmell

Robert G. Bob Trimmell, age 71, of Independence, Kansas died Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at his home in Independence, Kansas. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 17, 2010 at the Church of the Epiphany, Episcopal, with the Reverend Samuel A. Mason officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Visitation Hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 16, 2010 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The family has suggested memorials to the Hospice Care of Kansas and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas. Robert G. Bob Trimmell was born September 10, 1938 in Rural Fall River, Kansas. The son of Luther Anslum and Thelma P. Ware Trimmell. He graduated from Coyville, Kansas High School in 1956. Bob worked at Boeing, Cessna in Wichita, Kansas. He also worked for Parson Peterson Construction in Lawrence, Kansas. On May 17, 1959 Bob married Connie Trimmell in Independence, Kansas where they made their home. He served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1964. Bob was a farmer, rancher, and owned and operated a sheet metal shop, and sold commercial real estate for Midwest Reality for a number of years. On June 11, 2009 Bob retired from WalMart Lawn Garden. Survivors include his wife Connie of the home one son Todd Alan Trimmell of Parsons, Kansas three brothers Norman Trimmell of Idaho, Thelbert Trimmell of Coyville, Kansas and Leroy Trimmell of Texas two grandchildren Seth Alan Trimmell and Haley Dawn Trimmell of Dennis, Kansas.
