Robert Testerman

Robert Bob Testerman, age 85, or rural Cherryvale, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, skilled nursing facility, in Coffeyville, Kansas. Visitation Hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, September 3, 2010 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Ks with family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at Potts Chapel with the Pastor John Tharp officiating. Burial will be at the Mound Valley Cemetery, Mound Valley, Ks. Friends may call at the home of John Bohr, rural Coffeyville. Bob was born June 4th, 1925 in rural Cherryvale, to George Clinton and Margaret Levisa Morgan Testerman. He attended Sunnyside grade school, and graduated from Labette County High School, Altamont, Kansas. He was united in marriage to Unabelle Bryant on March 1st, 1949 in Bentonville, Ar. The couple made their home in rural Cherryvale. Bob worked for Ford and Chevrolet garages in Mound Valley, Ks., and for Fram Manufacturing in Independence, Ks. He also owned his own mechanics shop, drove a school bus for Union 1 school, and farmed land he owned. Bob was a wonderful husband, father, Grandpa, and Great Grandpa. He loved spending time with his grand kids, and greatgrandkids, sharing funny stories, jokes, and tricks. Bob was known to tease the kids, which always made them smile. He never met a stranger, and will be greatly missed by all that knew him. Survivors include his wife, Unabelle, of the home. A daughter, Beatrice, John Bohr of rural Coffeyville. A son, Robert Dale Doris or rural Cherryvale. Grandchildren Kristie Leroy Alsup, Winfield, Ks Lori Ron Barrett, and Gail Natalie Bohr, both from Coffeyville, Ks Jami Mike Williamson, Owasso, Ok Gayla Paul Wilson, Centerton, Ar Melissa Michael Stephens, Erie, Ks Michael Mary Testerman, Frontenac, Ks. Great Grandchildren Candace and Jordyn Barrett of Coffeyville, Ks Dylan and Alec Williamson of Owasso, Ok Ashlyn and Aidan Wilson of Centerton, Ar Cameron Testerman of Lawrence, Ks Zachary Miller of Erie, Ks and Braeden Testerman of Frontenac, Ks. Numerous step grandkids and step great grandkids, and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Harold, Wayne, and Dale, and sisters Maxine and Ruby.
