Robert Ellis Bob Nay, 82, of Tempe, AZ, passed from this life in Tempe, AZ on Sunday, September 28th, 2014.

Friends may call Monday thru Friday from 8am until 5pm at the Potts Chapel Funeral Home to sign and share memories of Bob in the memorial journal.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10:30am at the Potts Chapel in Caney, with burial of cremains to follow at Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney. A celebration of life will follow immediately thereafter at the First United Methodist Church of Caney. Robert Ellis Nay was born September 15, 1932, in Dearing, Kansas to Ellis Roby Nay Red and Eula Frances Rommel Nay Dolly and later Nonie to her grandchildren.

The first of two children, Bob attended elementary school in Coffeyville, KS before moving to Caney in 1943 and graduated from Caney High School in 1951. In January 1951 Bob married Patricia Pat Gene Brown, of Caney, KS.

He enjoyed his family and friends, auto racing, country music, and driving his truck. Bobs friendly manner and winning smile will be sorely missed by his friends and his family.

Bob is survived by Patricia Nay his exwife, his daughters Cheryl Nay and Valerie Nay of Tempe, AZ, daughter Pamela Nay and Friend Drew Sketnik of Redlands, CA, his son Christopher and daughterinlaw Carrie Nay, of Chandler, AZ, his grandchildren, Ryan Lindsey, Brooke Lindsey, Alexis Nay, and Mitchell Nay, and his greatgrandchildren Michael Blower, Autumn Lindsey, and Lucas Duenke, his sister Judy Phillips of Caney, KS and his nieces Kathi Black, Karen Leonard, and Anissa Nelson.

He was preceded in death by his son James Robert Nay, his parents Red and Dolly Nay, and his brotherinlaw L.D. Phillips.
