Robert "BOB" E. Losher,85, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma formally of Independence passed away Sunday, March 13, 2016 with his family by his side at the Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, OK.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the Potts Chapel Independence with the Reverend David Maby officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens in Olathe, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel.
A book signing and family visiting with friends from 8:30 a.m. Wednesday until service time.
The family has suggested memorials to AWOL of Independence or the Shriners Children Hospital.
Bob was born December 3, 1930 in Mull Arkansas the son of William and Lonora (Davenport) Losher. He grew up in Cassville, Arkansas and attend and graduated from the Cassville School System, he also attended the University of Kansas.
Bob served in the United States Army and was a Private, serving during the Korean War.
On Feb 4, 1974 in Mount Vernon, Missouri Bob was united in marriage to Evelyn Harrison and the couple made their home in Independence prior to moving to
Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Evelyn survives at the home.
Bob was Vice President of the Nickerson Farms he also managed for about ten years the Derailed Commodity in Independence.
Bob was President of the Olathe Chamber of Commerce, was a member of the Olathe Masonic Lodge number 19 and a member of the Eva chapter of Eastern Star number 18.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn and two sons; Kelley Losher of Lee's Summitt,MO. and William "Kirk" Losher and wife Kelly of Grand Junction, CO., two brothers; Jim Losher and wife Marlyn of Auora, CO. and Louie Hudgens (brother-in-law) of Overland Park, KS., one sister Betty Chanay and husband Marlin of Gardner, KS. and extended family Rhonda Heskett of Bartlesville, OK.
