Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Camacho Jr., who left us on October 11, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on September 8, 1958, in Chicago, IL, Robert was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He was the cherished son of Mary Lou Camacho and Robert Camacho Sr., and his love for his family was at the heart of everything he did.

A man of dedication and resilience, Robert devoted over 35 years of his life as a heavy machine operator for the Union Pacific Railroad. His commitment to his work reflected his strong work ethic and the pride he took in providing for his family. Robert also proudly served his country with honor in the Marine Corps, enlisting on March 1, 1977, where he earned the distinguished Rifle Expert Badge.

Robert's life was characterized by his unwavering love for his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sheryl Camacho, his son Zack Camacho (Toni Camacho), and his daughters: Jessica Wilson (Donny Wilson) and Chloe Camacho. He was also a proud grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and joy through his grandchildren: Ethan Wilson, Marie Wilson, Mathias Edwards, Camilla Edwards, Lennox Camacho, Bennett Camacho, and Addison Camacho. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Camacho (Veronica Camacho), and his sisters, Glenda Camacho, Kim Hedrick (Bo Hedrick), Donna Sill, Diane Butler (Mike Butler), and Janice Lankford (David Lankford).

Robert's spirit and warmth will be profoundly missed by friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Robert Camacho III.

Graveside services will be held on October 17, 2026, at 12 PM at Liberty Cemetery in Liberty, KS. Together, we will reflect on the memories shared, the love he spread, and the legacy he leaves behind.

As we gather to honor Robert, let us remember him not only for the roles he embraced but for the kindness and strength he exuded throughout his life. His soul will continue to inspire us, reminding us to cherish our loved ones and celebrate every moment.
