Ricky Lee Graves, 47, of Tulsa, Oklahoma formally of Independence died Saturday in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, July 15, 2011, at the Potts Chapel, Independence with the Reverend Harold Groth, officiating. Interment will be at the Mount Hope Cemetery, Independence, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel, Independence. Visitation will be from 8:00am to 8:00pm Thursday July 14, 2011 at the Potts Chapel with family receiving friends from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Ricky was born April 8, 1964, in El Dorado, Kansas, the son of Jimmy and Norma J. Wiltfong Graves. He graduated from the Independence School System in 1982, he then attended the Tulsa Vocational Technical Aeronautics School he also attended the Spartan School of Aeronautics. On February 13, 1988 he was united in marriage to Barbara ONeal in Independence, Kansas and she survives at the home. Ricky worked for American Air Lines for 18 years as an aircraft mechanic he then went into the Contracting Business and was the owner and operator of the business at the time of his death. Survivors are his wife Barbara of the home, his mother Norma J. Graves Independence, one son Justin Graves of Tulsa, Oklahoma One daughter Angela Hall, of Tulsa, Oklahoma sister Valorie J. Allan, Owasso, Oklahoma step brother Bart Smith of Wichita, Kansas Step sister Kathy Cook New Cambria, Kansas , and one grandchild.
