Rick Hills

Rickie Dale Hills, 72, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 8th, 2023 at the Oklahoma State University Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Cremation has taken place with Potts Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 23rd, 2023 at 10:00am at the Harrisonville Cemetery, rural Independence.

Rickie Dale Hills was born May 18th, 1950 in Coffeyville, KS. He was the son of Carl Hills and Virginia Hagood Hills Mattiza. He attended Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville and afterwards joined the Air Force. After six years in the Air Force he then served in the Navy.

Rick married Marlyn Moore Hills on November 26th, 1980. They had two children, Lacy Hills Crain and Ariana Hills Shepherd. They later divorced.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Lacy Crain, son-in-law Derek Crain, grandchildren Damien and Jade Crain, and his brother Bob Hills. He is survived by his daughter Ariana (Andy) Shepherd, grandchildren: Savannah and Hunter Shepherd of Independence, KS., brothers: Jack (Phyllis) Hills of Moore, OK., Dan (Patty) Hills of Owasso, OK., Tim (Sherry) Hills of Broken Arrow, OK., Jay (Jean Ann) Hills of Owasso, OK., and many nieces and nephews.
