INDEPENDENCE-Richard Dean Wallace, 59, died on December 18, 2021, at Labette Health in Parsons, KS.

He was born on June 20, 1962, in Missouri. Richard was son to James and Margaret (West) Wallace, brother to Cherri (Wallace) High. Richard graduated from Independence High, Class of 1980. After graduation, Richard married his high school sweetheart, Brenda Winebrenner. Following graduation and matrimony, he served with the U.S. Army.

Richard is survived by his sons: Christopher Wallace and significant other, Myriah Bretches; Aaron Wallace and his wife Monica; Jeremiah Wallace and his wife, Jamie; Joshua Wallace and significant other, Kendra Darrow; Matthew Wallace and significant other,Anna Wood; 16 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Rick will be loved and missed by many.

A visitation will be held December 22, 2021, at Potts Funeral Home, from 5-7 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Potts Chapel on Thursday, December 23rd at 10:00 am.
