Obituary

With heavy hearts and fond memories, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, Richard Allen Reynolds, who left this world on June 22, 2026, at the age of 79. Born on January 11, 1947, in Independence, Kansas, Richard was the cherished son of Joe and Gladys (Smith) Reynolds. Richard dedicated his working years to the manufacturing industry, contributing his skills and efforts to respected organizations such as Starcraft, Independence Bottling, Coca-Cola, Glencliff Farms, Arctic Ice, Matcor, Hackney, and Mercy Hospital. Upon retirement, he found joy and purpose in crafting exquisite birdhouses and crosses for his family and friends, dedicating countless hours in his shed. These creations stand as a testament to his love and devotion. An avid fisherman and camper, Richard embraced the beauty of nature and shared countless adventures with loved ones. He was also a devoted fan of Dale Earnhardt and an enthusiastic collector of Coke memorabilia, enjoying the thrill of life with a genuine passion.

On June 18, 1966, Richard united in marriage with the love of his life, Kathleen (Garner) Reynolds, and together, they celebrated 60 beautiful years of love and companionship. Their bond, strengthened by the joys and challenges of life, was a shining example of endurance and commitment.
