Richard Dwain Driskel

Richard Dwain Driskel passed away on February 3, 2026. He was born on August 28, 1941, to James W. Driskel & Gladys B. Coy in Coffeyville, KS. He married Mary Moser on January 30, 1964. They had 2 children, Loretta Driskel & Richard Driskel (Ricky). He was a Sargent in the Air Force. After he was honorably discharged from the Air Force, he worked in the oilfield. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, canning, going on adventures, and living a simple life. Survivors include 1 daughter, Loretta Palmer of the home in Fort Scott, KS. 3 grandchildren, Cheryl Somers (Jack) of Deerfield, MO, Rhonda Perkinson (Damien) of Fort Scott, KS, Curtis Moreland of Fort Scott, KS. 1 sister, Norma Palmer (Gene) of Mound Valley, KS. 1 sister in law, Joan Driskel of Orlando, Florida, along with numerous Great, Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a lot of friends. He is proceeded in death by his parents, James W. Driskel & Gladys B. Coy, his wife Mary Driskel, 1 son Richard Driskel Jr. (Ricky), 2 brothers Jim Driskel, & Bob Driskel. Funeral services will be at the Potts Chapel in Independence, KS, on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 1 pm.
