Richard was born on August 21, 1933 in Independence, Kansas, the son of Henry Louis and Katherine Thelma (Mangan) Catron. Richard is survived by his three sons, Rick of Casper, Wyoming, Randy of San Diego, California, and Ron and wife Kathy of Littleton, Colorado. Richard especially enjoyed spending time with and watching his four grandsons, Garrett, Jared, Kendrick and Cody grow to be fine young men. Richard is also survived by the recent birth of his first great-grandson, Emmett of Casper, Wyoming.

Richard is also survived by his brother, Jerry Catron of Manassas, Virginia.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Thelma Catron and brother Lou Catron of San Diego, California.
