Richard J. Bustos

Richard J. Bustos, 66, of Gilbert, Arizona passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on August 11, 2023, at Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. Richard was born on November 22, 1956, in Independence, Kansas to Joe and Virginia (Sanchez) Bustos. He was united in marriage with Chirlei (Kordick) Bustos on May 11, 1985. Richard worked as a claims adjuster for Allstate Insurance until his retirement. He graduated from Independence Schools and Pittsburg State University with a Bachelor's Degree. He enjoyed outdoor activities, traveling, being with his family, and watching his favorite teams - Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks.

Richard is survived by his wife Chirlei Bustos of Arizona; three daughters: Jeannette Mackin and son-in-law Mark Mackin of Arizona, Michele Anderson and son-in-law Virgil (Andy) Anderson and Carmen Walker all of Nebraska; 8 grandchildren: Tegan Hawn of Arizona; James, Jacob and Joshua Rose all of Nebraska; Jordan and Justin Thompson of Nebraska; Richard W. Baker of Oregon and Virgil Anderson of Nebraska; 6 great-grandchildren: Elliot Jimenez of Arizona; Leo and Rico Coronoado and Ezra Rose all of Nebraska and Zayden and Tyler Thompson of Nebraska and 2 sisters: Linda Bustos of Colorado and Theresa Howell of Kansas. Richard is survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Virginia Bustos and several family members.
