FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT 1:00 PM, WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 10,2OO8 AT THE POTTS CHAPEL INDEPENDENCE WITH THE REVEREND STEVE BUTLER OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL FOLLOW IN THE MOUNT HOPE CEMETERY IN INDEPENDENCE. MILITARY RIGHTS WILL BE PRESENTED BY THE U. S. NAVY VISITATIION HOURS WILL BE HELD FROM 12:OO PM TO 8:00PM ,TUESDAY DECEMBER 9TH,2008 WITH THE FAMILY RECEIVING FRIENDS FROM 6:00PM TO 7:00PM AT THE POTTS CHAPEL IN INDEPENDENCE. THE FAMILY HAS SUGGESTED MEMORIALS TO THE HARRY HINES HOSPICE OR TO THE YOUTH GROUP AT COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN CHURCH. RICHARD G. BOYLE SR. WAS BORN JANUARY 22, 1944 IN WICHITA, KANSAS TO PAUL BOYLE AND WILMA JEAN WILSON BOYLE. RICHARD ATTENDED AND GRADUATED FROM THE INDEPENDENCE SCHOOL SYSTEMS. HE GREW UP IN INDEPENDENCE AND WORKED FOR THE STARCRAFT BOATS, INDEPENDENCE CEMENT PLANT AND WAS A TRUCK DRIVER FOR PRESTIGE CABNETS UNTIL 1997.IN AUGUST OF 1962 RICHARD ENTERED THE UNITED STATES NAVY RICHARD WAS HONORABLE DISCHARGED FROM ACTIVE DUTY IN AUGUST 24, 1965. ON MAY 23, 1964 RICHARD MARRIED PEGGY NEWMAN IN INDEPENDENCE, KANSAS. SHE PRECEEDED HIM IN DEATH IN 2006. RICHARD WAS A MEMBER OF THE COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF INDEPENDENCE AND A PAST MEMBER OF THE MONTGOMERY COUNTY RURAL FIRE DEPARTMENT. SURVIVORS INCLUDE A SON R. GUY BOYLE JR. AND FAMILY OF INDEPENDENCE, KS.,DAUGHTER MICHELLE KNOLES AND FAMILY OF WINDFIELD,KS. AND A BORTHER WAYNE BOYLE OF MOUND VALLEY, KANSAS AND 8 GRANDCHILDREN .
