Phyllis Vannoster

Phyllis Marie VanNoster, 78, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma formally of Jefferson, Kansas died Monday March 10, 2014 at the Jane Phillips Medical Center, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Graveside Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday March 14, 2014 at the Jefferson Cemetery , Jefferson, Kansas with Chaplin Mike Graham of Harry Haynes Memorial Hospice Coffeyville, Kansas officiating.
Burial will follow the service under the direction of the Potts Chapel Independence, Kansas.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.
The family has suggested memorials to the Harry Haynes Memorial Hospice, Coffeyville, Kansas and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Independence, Kansas.
Phyllis was born June 12, 1935 in Dearing, Kansas the daughter of Roy and Effie McGuire Gillman. She grew up in Dearing and Coffeyville, Kansas attending the Dearing and Coffeyville School System.
On April 6, 1952 Phyllis was united in marriage to Archie VanNoster and the couple made their home in Wichita, Dearing Kansas and lived in Jefferson, Kansas for 56 years. Archie preceded her in death in August of 2007.
Phyllis worked for the Dana Engine Corporation Independence, Kansas in assembly and retired after 27 years.
She was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church.
Survivors include Linda Christlieb of Bartlesville, Okla., Darlene Shannon of Jefferson, Ks, one sister Doris Wall of Coffeyville, Ks., four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
