Peggy Dawes

Peggy A. Dawes, 68, of Cherryvale passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 12:05 a.m. at Labette Health in Parsons, Kansas. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Potts Chapel of Cherryvale with private family services being held at a later date. Peggy Ann Dawes was born August 9, 1942 at Clarinda, Iowa the daughter of Virgil Hollis and Marion Mack Hollis. She grew up in Iowa and attended schools there. She was united in marriage to Billy Russell Dawes and he preceded her in death. Peggy worked as a Medical Aid for nursing homes in Oregon. She lived in Garden City, Kansas until five years ago when she moved to Cherryvale to be closer to family. Survivors include one son, Stanley Dawes of Cherryvale, Kansas, 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
