Pauline Vestal

Pauline Daisy Vestal age 87 of Independence passed away on November 9, 2019 at Medicalodges.

Pauline was born on December 3, 1931 in Elk City to Charles Wallace and Vesta (Wheeler) Simmons. She attended country schools and graduated from Elk City High School. After high school she was untied in marriage to Nathan D. Vestal Jr on August 1, 1951. The couple made their home south of Longton for 16 years before calling Independence home. Pauline took pride in caring for the home, making sure that everything was in order was second nature to her. Pauline was one of 10 children and she loved spending time with her family and friends.

Pauline’s memories will live on with her niece Faye Troutman her husband Ervin, and several nieces and nephews.

She now rests with her parents, husband Nathan, brothers, Marion, Charles, Walter, Cecil, Robert, James and Johnnie, sisters AnnaBell Allison and Emma Lucille Schomaker.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2019 at Potts Chapel at 1:00pm, burial will immediately follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Potts Chapel.
