Pauline Jones

Pauline L. Jones age 86 of Cherryvale, Kansas died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at her home in Cherryvale, Kansas. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 15, 2010 at the New Hope Christian Church in Cherryvale, Kansas with the Reverend Gerald Zuck officiating under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m., Friday, January 15, 2010 at the Garnett Cemetery in Garnett, Kansas under the direction of the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Visitation hours will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the New Hope Christian Church with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family has suggested memorials to the New Hope Christian Church building fund and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale, Kansas. Pauline was born January 1, 1924 in Garnett, Kansas to Butch and Mayme Wyleland Tipton. She grew up in Garnett, Kansas and attended school in Garnett. Pauline owned and operated 59 Motel in Garnett, Kansas, she owned and operated the Brown Jug in Garnett, Kansas she also ran the Blue Top, Elks, and the Eagles. Pauline was loved by all. On May 11, 1979 Pauline married Fred Jones in Miami, Oklahoma. The couple made their home in Garnett and Cherryvale, Kansas. Pauline was a member of the 1st Christian Church and the Holy Angels in Garnett, Kansas. She was a member of the New Hope Christian Church in Cherryvale, Kansas. Survivors include her husband Fred Jones of the home three sons Bob Ulses of Garnett, Kansas, Rodney Ulses of Gardner, Kansas and Brian Ulses of Ottawa, Kansas two daughters Marcy Ulses of Virginia and Rhonda Jones of Overland Park, Kansas one brother Lake Havasu City, Arizona one sister Betty Jean Kibbey of Seattle, Washington 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
