Paul M. Tucker, 73, of Independence passed away at his home Sunday, April 3, 2016.
Paul was born March 5, 1943 in Cherryvale, Kansas, the son of Elmer M. and Letha (Plotner) Tucker. He grew up in Cherryvale and graduated from the Cherryvale school system.
On February 21, 1982 in Cherryvale, Paul was united in marriage to Vivian Rhoades and the couple made their home in Independence. Vivian survives at the home.
Paul worked as a welder for the VT Hackney and Sons manufacturing company in Independence.
Paul served his country in the United States Air Force.
His love for fishing was his hobby. He spent most of his time fishing.
Survivors include Vivian, his wife, a son Anthony "Tony" Tucker of Independence, KS., a step-son Bryan Rhoades and wife Mary of Englewood, CO., daughters; Toni Jo Croxton and husband Neil of Longford, KS., Leslie Morris and Husband Darrel of Conway Springs, KS., step-daughter Pamela Rhoades of Kittradge, CO., fourteen grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
No services are planned at this time. Potts Chapel of Independence are handling the arrangements.
Paul was preceded in death by his mother Letha Tucker and his father Elmer A. Tucker and one sister Nelda Champ.
