Patty Fernandez

Patty L. Fernandez,84, of Cherryvale passed away Saturday August 11, 2012 at the Cherryvale Management, LLC. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 10:00 a. m., Saturday August 18, 2012 at the Potts Chapel in Cherryvale with Don Catlett officiating. Burial will follow in the Neodesha Cemetery in Neodesha, Kansas under the direction of Potts Chapel, Cherryvale. Viewing will be Friday August 17, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m. Visitation will be Saturday August 18, 2012 from 9:00 a. m. to service time. The family has suggested memorials to the Mound Valley Old Time Fiddlers, Pickers and Singers and contributions may be left at the Potts Chapel Cherryvale. Patty was born October 13, 1927 in Savonburg, Kansas the daughter of Walter F. and Marguerite C. Woodruff Fredericksen. She grew up in Neodesha, Kansas and graduated from the Neodesha School System. On October 31, 1945 in Cherryvale Patty was united in marriage to Lloyd C. Fernandez and the couple made their home in Dickinson, Texas and in 1985 moved to Cherryvale, Kansas. Lloyd preceded Patty in death. Patty was a home maker. Survivors include two sons Russell Fernandez of Cherryvale, Ks., Lloyd C. and wife Jean Fernandez Jr. of San Antonia, Texas and one brother Walter and wife Juanita Fredericksen of Fort Scott, Kansas, one sister Delores Catlett, Independence. Three grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
